How To Treat Swelling And Pain In Left Arm Due To Cat Bite?

my friends cat bite my left hand by my pinky last night. I cleaned the wound and applied neosporin after the initial bite. I have had slight swelling during the day, but it is currently swelling more and now the pain and swelling is radiating up my left arm and into my bicep. There is no radiating marks on my arm. No fever or other symptoms.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
You may take Ibuprofen along with chymoral forte to reduce pain and inflammation.
Antibotic may be used to treat or prevent infection.
Continue local application of Neosporin.
Cat bite also needs antirabies vaccine 5 shots.

Hi...For the symptoms you have mentioned above I suggest you can use Ibuprofen every 8th hourly till pain subsides. But you have not mentioned any thing about anti rabies vaccination. I suggest you g ahead with the 5 shots of anti rabies vaccine too and along with it take a Tetanus toxoid shot too along with the 1st dose.
