How To Treat The Burning Pain Of The Back Of The Heel?
I have been feeling intermittent sharp, burning pain in the back of my right heal for the past 4 - 6 weeks. Pain increases and is more frequent if I wear closed shoes or shoes with a strap that goes across the back of the foot, so I stopped. Pain also increases with walking. I thought perhaps I bruised the Achilles tendon. Sometimes I have no pain, even upon palpitation. Other times, (randomly) I feel a sharp, hot, stabbing pain into the back of my heal. j
There possibility of inflammation of tendo achillis ,may be associated calcanium overgrowth.
As per your history there can be injury to tendo achillis leading to partial tear. Are you able to stand on your toe only?
Till time take rest for few days, Do cold fomentation, apply crepe bandage. X ray and if required MRI will help you.
