How To Treat Thyroid Problem With Tsh:51 And No Relief With 90 Mcg Of Armour Thyroid?

my tsh is 51 - I was taking 90 mcg of armour thyroid, but didn t get a refill for a month, but my energy really dropped, my appetite increased, I gained back weight and was just exhausted. Before this my thyroid would range between 3-5 or maybe 7 at one point.

Hi,

Another option for normalising your thyroid function is to take synthetic thyroid hormones (Synthyrox or Thyronorm) which is freely available.

Synthetic thyroxine is also free of side effects. If I were your treating physician I would have started you on 100 mcg of Synthyrox and followed you up after 6weeks.

Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you
