How To Treat Twin Child With ADHD And Explosive Behavior?

My grandson is 10. Having violent behavior. Cusses and threatens parents. Has explosive behaviors. Has seen several doctors but not getting much relief. Has ADHD . Is at twin and born early. No apparent brain damage. Is there a child psychologist that can treat this chemical disorder. Parents are frustrated. No child abuse. Parents are. Loving and simply beside themselves with this child.

Hello
you should find a child psychiatrist, not psychologist to treat this chemical disorder. I know it can be very frustrating and energy sapping to be with such a child but this is the way it is. Stimulant medications are quite effective in reducing the symptoms of ADHD but they are not panacea. Having explosive behavior is a big problem, needs family and child behavior therapy. It is a pain fully slow process but patience always pays.
