I am almost 21 years old and I was on the pill for about 6 months until I noticed that when I have sex I'm wet in the beginning but dry after a few minutes it is the absolute most embarrassing thing I think I've ever experienced.. Now I started taking estrogen pills thinking that would help and It did in the beginning but now they've stopped working I'm dry again! And I hate it would be soooo appreciative if you could help me figure out a permanent solution please help!!
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
It is not uncommon for women who are on the pill to experience vaginal dryness. This is also very common these days with the use of very low dose birth control pills. I would say to a patient with your complaint: 1. Consider changing to a pill that contained 35micrograms of estrogen 2. Use a lubricant with intercourse (try Astroglide) 3. Do NOT take additional estrogen while on the birth control - this is not safe 4. If all above does not work, as your doctor about an IUD
I hope that this helps and good luck!
