How To Treat Viral Fever In A 2.5 Years Old Child?

My daughter is 2.5 years old. She has been a viral fever since yesterday and having 101.5 F consistently. Gave 4 dose of Crocin DS and 2 dose of Meftal as prescribed by a local doctor. The fever is not going away and resurfaces after 4 hours or so.

1) Is it safe to give Meftal
2) how long it will take to return to normal temperature?

Please advise.

Thanks
Bala

Hi,
Generally viral fever is self limiting and within 3-4 days it is cleared.
Give symptomatic treatment for fever.
Give her enough water to keep her hydrated.
If fever persisted then go for investigations like complete blood urine checking.
Ok and take care.
