How To Treat Wound Causes Due To Post Surgery For Anal Fissure?

Had surgery for anal fissure 8 weeks ago doesn t seem to be healing. Dr. prescribed Flagyl after 4 week check up for 4 days. Then another check up 4 weeks later and flagyl again for 1 week. Dr. said wound still not healed. Why is it not healing and why Flagyl?

Hi..

Poor immunity may be responsible for delayed healing of wound.
Flagyl is given for suspected anaerobic infection.
