How To Wean Off Effexor? Done Hysterectomy. Taken Effexor For Hot Flashes And Night Sweats
Is there any wrong/right or easy way of weaning off of Effexor,lowest dose, time realesed capsule as well?
Will never,ever use this drug again,period. I don't have anything really positive to say about it except for the fact yes it did do it's job with how it handled my hot flashes/night sweats and that was all.
I have just recently converted from a synthetic estrogen only, to bio-identical hormone therapy which includes estrogen,progesterone and a little testosterone.
I'm 54 and my hysterectomy, with just one ovary remaining was performed in February of 2012.

EFFECOR is an antidepressant belonging to SNRI class and is also used for taking care of hot flashes of menopause.Withdrawl symptoms of EFFEXOR are really ver bad specially because it's half life is small.
However with patience and judicious use,one can come out of its withdrawl without much difficulty.
Ideally one should withdraw only 10% of your dose at a time and take the reduced dose for 3 weeks and then again withdraw by 10%.
Although it is a time consuming process but it would be very easy to withstand light withdrawl symptoms,since your body gets adjusted to 10% decreased dose easily.
