How To Withdraw From Rispernal?

my son was put on rispernal 2 months ago for bipolar he was put on this by a nurse partioner and never seen or refered to a physciatrist she won t answer when he calls and this drug is turning him into a zombie he has no energy can t concentrate no appetite and could sleep around the clock. he is on a 10mg dose and wants to go off it how would he go about doing this hes been taking half a dose instead of 10 for the last 2 days

Risperdal can be associated with decreased energy and fatigue.

If he is unable to tolerate the effects then, as you suggested, the dose should be tapered down but you should speak to his doctor to first let him or her know of the effects and to suggest a tapering regimen.

His doctor would need to know so that alternative medication can be given.
