Hypothyroidism,anemia, Excess Bleeding And Over Weighted.Is Thyroid Is A Common Problem For Excess Bleeding?
Hi Doc, I am 26 Yrs Girl recently got married.My 31/2 Month pregnancy got aborted,because of Excess Bleeding during every Month Periods. I am having THYROID Problem from my child Hood and little bit over weighted.is thyroid is a common problem for excess bleeding?? My Hemoglobin count is also less than the average. Kindly Advice me to have a safe pregnancy Next time.
Hi, thanks for the query.Yes your thyroid problem might be the cause excessive bleeding during menstrual cycle which could have resulted in anaemia. From the history given by you,we think you have hypothyroidism which does cause excess weight gain, also causes abortion and congential abnormalities of the growing baby, if not treated appropriately. Check your Thyroid profile regulary.You can have safe pregnancy with regular treatment of your thyroid problem with endocrinologist and consultation with gynaecologist. The anemia should be urgently addressed by a General Physician, through a referral from the Gynecologist
