Should I Be Concerned About White Stool After Bingeing On Cashews, With No Other Symptoms?

I am 62, the last 2 days I have had a white stool which is weird. Just before that I had binged on cashews (several ozs worth) which I am reading now that is not good to eat more than 1oz at a time. No real other symptoms. Should I be concerned with the white stool?

Hello,

Stay hydrated and avoid heavy, fatty foods for a day or two. Monitor your stool; if it returns to normal color and you have no symptoms, then you may not worry. Yet, if the pale color persists for more than 2 days or is accompanied by any new symptom like abdominal pain, dark urine, itchy skin or symptoms of jaundice, then get clinically examined by a GP. Get the required urine tests, blood tests and imaging tests done to detect liver problems, gall bladder issues, bile duct blockage etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
