i am an emotional eater. i indulge in mindless eating, specially when i'm sad, bored or tense. how can i get rid of this habit. i'm not obese but have started putting on weight in the past couple of years. i excercise regularly but the problem still stands.

Emotional eating is really a bad habit. I have heard of it. Do something else to get rid of your emotions rather than eating. It could be listening to music, watching television, calling someone, exercising(best) rather than eating. And also do something to control your emotions.
