I Am Having Persistent Cough Since 2 Weeks, Please Help

Hi.. I am a 28years. female, waorking as a sales exectuive. I am having persistent dry cough with cold since 2 weeks. And recently i had coughed out small amount of blood recently. I have been worried because of this. Can some body please help me??

Hi.. The cause for the cough may be because of bronchitis. You need to consult the doctor to confirm this and to rule out other causes. In the meanwhile I shall suggest the methods which I used when I had an episode of bronchitis. Drink plenty of water. You can use humidified air by the means of steam inhalation before going to the bed. Lying down at an angle of 30 deg used to help me. And a good cough syrup also helped. You can get the cough syrup as suggested by your doctor as they are the best person to decide what is best for you...

DRY COUGH SINCE 2 WEEKS AND BLOOD STAIN SPUTUM
SO FIRST THINK ABOUT TUBERCULOSIS AND THAN ALLERGIC BRONCHITIS.
GO FOR INVESTIGATIONS LIKE CHEST X RAY PA, CBC +PS + ESR, TUBERCULIN TEST, TOTAL IG E AND CLINICAL EXAMINATION BY YOUR DOCTOR.

Coughed out blood??? it could mean two things..one-you suffer from TB. two- you coughed too badly which broke blood vessles on your inside and blood came out..whatever it is, it wont do any harm to go get a health check done..so get one done to what is wrong with you..
