I Developed A Lump In The Side Of Left Knee.

When i bent down something popped on the side of my left knee and when i stood up a lump appeared on the left side of my knee. Three weeks later the lump hardened but it s painless. The size becomes smaller when i have over night rest and becomes bigger after working all day ? What do you think it is ?

HI
Welcome to Healthcare magic Forum
Description suggests its a Bakers Cyst, a fluid (synovial) filled swelling. You will have to visit a orthopedic surgeon to confirm the diagosis and decided the treamtment (usualy small surgical procedudre).
Meanwhile give your legs rest, and visit your dr soon.
Takecare.

Hi there,
what you mentioned about sounds to me like a cyst, but cysts are generally with pain. Well it could even be a an infection/PVNS(Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis).Hope you havent met with any injury in recent past, for it could be a hematoma too due to the same.Whatsoever, you need to get an X-ray taken, and if not an MRI as all pathologies do not show on an X-ray.
