I Dont Want Doc To Pop My Rib Out In Oder To Set The Shoulder In Place

Hi my right scapula is sticking out and the doc said he will have to pop my rib out in oder to set the shoulder in place ? does this hurt ? is there any other options ?

Does your shoulder or scapula actually hurt? If not, the reason your scapula is sticking out may be because you have a scoliosis or sideways curve in your spine which causes a rib hump, due to crowding of ribs and hence the suggestion of removing a rib. I think you should see a spine specialist ( orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in spine deformity correction )and take his advice before embarking on any surgical procedure.

I have not heard of it..may you should take  a second opinion on it from another orthopedician. It sounds dangerous to me what you are describing here.
