I Fractured My Fibula And Now I Am Having Sharp Pain

I fractured my fibula last week in 2 places but not through and through fx s. I am having pain that feels like burning and extreme sharp pains sometimes and I would like to know what that means?

Hi Ashley,
I hope your leg is in a plaster cast and you aren't walking on it. Fracture can cause pain upto a few weeks after the incident too. If the pain is severe and accompanied by swelling, please follow up with your Orthopaedician. If pain is mild continue the prescribed analgesics for a while and elevate it over a pillow to avoid swelling.
