I Have A Pain In My Right Leg On The Outside Of My Knee.What Could This Be ?

I have a pain in my right leg on the outside of my knee . the right outside part whenever i bend my knee sends a shooting pain down into the rest of my leg. What could this be? i am a dancer so.

It could be a ligament tear. Which is common in dancers. If it doesnt go down with aceclofenac 80 mg twice daily after food then please approach a good orthpedician. he might want to investigate with an x ray and an MRI. You dont have to worry it is treatable. Also please give ample rest to that leg. Try taking odd from dancing for 5 days
