Neurologist 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

I carefully read your question and would like to know more about your clinical condition and your past medical history.

Why do you consult with your oncologist? Do you suffer from any tumor? Are you actually on chemotherapy?

In such case, your symptoms could be related to a paraneoplastic syndrome.

Anyway, I would also recommend performing an electromyography to exclude possible motor neuron disease and a nerve conduction study for polineuropathy. Vitamin B12 plasma levels are also needed to exclude possible deficiency. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope to have been helpful!
Wishing all the best, Dr. Aida
