I Have Been Having What Appears To Be Panic Attacks,

I have been having what appears to be panic attacks, however, I talked to a psychologist who said that all though they are panic attacks they are not stressed induced and there is probably something medically wrong rather than mentally wrong. I have been tracking my blood pressure and pulse. When these attacks come my blood pressure gets high. I usually am only able to check it after it my palpitations start to calm down, and at that point it's usually about 120/70 to 80 and my pulse will be between 90-100. Between these episodes my blood pressure is lower, about 103/60-63 and my pulse will be about 80-83. During these attacks I feel confused, muscle weakness, crying for no reason (on rare occasions laughing instead), and during more severe episodes I get dizzy, have tightness in the lungs with trouble breathing, uncontrollable shaking and muscle spasms. At one time I went to the ER because my entire body had atrophied, I was stiff as a board with my legs and feet, fingers, and toes curled inward, they called it an anxiety attack and hyperventalation, but I was not stressed when the incident occurred. Warning signs of an attack includes redness in the face and chest, tingling in my chest, hands, feet, fingers, toes, and sometimes my teeth, I am normally extremely mild tempered with the ability to handle a lot of stress, but when these attacks comes I will literally cry over spilled milk, I may laugh uncontrollably, become impatient or ill tempered, and sometimes I will through a 2 year old tantrum with yelling and slamming doors.

These attacks always come within a week of starting my menstruation cycle, or during the first week, rarely after my cycle ends. I have learned that by eating something with lots of potassium like a banana or avocado helps tremendously and I suspect i have a potassium deficiency when these attacks come. Unfortunately my doctor tested my blood while I was not having an attack and said all is normal, but I think he's wrong. These attacks often come in my sleep or when I'm relaxing, they are in no way stress induced and symptoms always improve after having something with potassium in it.

I am writing this because I was feeling ill a few minutes ago while preparing dinner. I have tingling in my hands and chest and my chest feels tight although I am not having trouble breathing. I feel slight muscle weakness as well. I checked my blood pressure using my dad's wrist cough and it is 123/77 with a pulse of 103. I have been having attacks on and off for over a week and I started my cycle yesterday. I do not have insurance and I am wondering if I should spend the money to go into a doctor or if I should take some potassium and sleep it off.
