I have developed Bartholin s Gland Cyst just 1 day before. Can you suggest me a antibiotic. Also want to know why is this developing if we have a healthy sexual life. Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum. Bartholins cysts are usually painless enlargement of the gland. If it becomes infectious, it will be painful and you will require antibiotics.Any injury, irritation or infection can make the duct get blocked.Home treatment of Bartholin's cysts and abscesses involves sitz baths, which promote drainage.These soaks should be done for 10-15 minutes at a time, 3-4 times daily. This treatment is frequently all that is needed for Bartholin's cysts. If it is very painful please see a gynecologist. Take care
