I Have Had Shoulder Pain And Swelling For 5 Months

I have had shoulder pain and swelling for 5 months. 1st doctor said it was rotator cuff strain and told me not to move it, went to a different doctor 2 months later, told me it was bicipital tendonitis and that i should see my athletic trainer, my athletic trainer said it was impingement syndrome. should i get an MRI?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
Get the MRI of the shoulder done, it may be a rotator cuff injury if you are not able to abduct, or may be a labral tear if painful in ER & Flexion
MRI should be at least of 3 tesla, otherwise there willl be false results
Take Care
