I Have High Cholesterol. Can Any Online Doctor Help Me

I am 29 and have been having heart palpatations since i had my 2nd child last year, but then i suddenly lost 3 stone in the last 2 months alone, even though i was eating normal, if not more over xmas, and i started feeling very tired all the time. I went to the docs who gave me a full blood test , i have been told this morning that my cholesteral levels have gone mad and i have to go back next week (earliest appointment) to discuss what to do about it. I am shocked as i am not at all over weight, i am what the docs say the right weight even though i personaly feel underweight , i am 5 11 and now a size 8 - 10 which i feel is to thin for me, i dont eat much meat at all and when i do eat it i cook it without adding any oil or fat, no junk food, dont drink alcohol, so what else could have caused it? I have to go and talk about my diet etc with the nurse but if i try and eat any healthier than i already am then i may as well live on lettuce. I really dont know much at all about high cholesteral but if i am not overweight , eat healthy, dont drink alcohol etc then what else could it be, i am worried sick about it because my dad was diagnosed with high colesteral when he was my age then 3 years later he had a heart attack . i have to wait untill next week now to find out so i have a full week to worry myself sick about it, can anyone tell me what else could have caused it, and what happens when the cholesteral levels are wrong? lilly- I dont eat much meat cause i just dont like it much, i never have, i dont cook in oil cause i have never liked that either, i don t like greesy food so i cook meat using a george forman grill so any fat drips out rather that cooks in it, chips are cooked in the oven not the frier simply because i prefare it that way. I eat breakfast, lunch and a proper meal in the evening, i m certainly not starving myself. I had the heart palpatations for ages but it was the sudden loss of weight, the lack of energy that made me go the docs. you suggest i don t eat healthy but then question why I dont eat lots of meat or cook using oil, i always believed that eatting lots of fatty greasy meals can be a big cause of high cholesteral so i m certainly not going to start eatting that way just because i lost weight. some of you are right about the stress though, I have a lot going on in my life right now which has made me more stressed than I have ever known.

Sometimes it is just hereditary and there is nothing you can do about that. I wouldn't worry just yet. The nurse will discuss what your numbers are. Maybe your numbers aren't that bad. Believe it or not, there are many people that have high cholesterol. I see it all the time working in the medical field. The worst thing you might have to do is take medication to keep it under control. You say that your diet is pretty healthy, but do you exercise? Don't stress yourself out...the good thing is that you are aware and can start monitoring it. Hope this helps :)
