I have pins and needles in my left arm on a regular basis. Went to the doctor and she said it had something to do with a strained mussel in my left shoulder. The shoulder feels good now but the pins and needles are still giving me grief can you help.

Hi,
These symptoms may be due to a cervical rib. This is a rib in the neck that compresses the nerves to the arm.
I suggest you see your doctor to discuss further investigation. You may benefit from an x-Ray or scan of the shoulder and neck.
Regards,
Dr K A Pottinger,
MBChB. FRCA
