I Have Terrible Pain In My Upper Calf Behind The Knee

i have pain in my upper calf brhind the knee. The pain is tolerable, with intensity of 4/10. The affected leg is 1/2 inch bigger in diameter than the unaffected leg. The site is slightly warm. The symptoms began last night. I am a nurse. It is nearly midnight, can I wait until morning to have it examined?
