I Have To Clear My Throat All The Time And Sometimes Have To Push Against To Help Me Clear It

Hi, I am constantly having to clear my throat every two seconds - it just wont stay clear. I have recently had a cold but it is clearing up but i am still having to clear my throat all the time and sometimes having to push against my throat to help me clear it!

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have problem of clearing of throat which seems to be due to strep throat/ chronic upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you to avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should take nasal sprays and do warm saline gargles. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin in combination with antiallergic medication such as Sinarest. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get throat swab test done and start treatment after proper prescription. You should take throat lozeges. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.
