Hi,
A chronic cheek biting has resulted in the condition known as Linea alba buccalis. This is a normal finding where a white line is seen on the buccal mucosa where the upper and lower teeth meets. Dont worry about it.
Hi, this seems to be a cheek bite. The inner skin of the cheek may be getting bitten in between the upper and lower teeth. There may have been a change in the line of occlusion after the placement of the artificial tooth. Please report it to the dentist. It may turn into an ulcer with chronic irritation. Please get it checked in time. Take care!
The artificial teeth you might be wearing appears to be a bit more towards cheek so the tissues get frequently bitten and hence the white line.goto the nearby dentist and get the neccessary corrections done.
Hi! Your problem is called Linea Alba buccalis. It is the white discoloration of the inner buccal mucosa in the line of occlusion of the upper and lower posterior teeth. Since the problem started after the dental treatment and the placement of artificial teeth, the reason may be malocclusion or the insufficient occlusion between the newly inserted teeth and the natura teeth. The cheek mucosa in this case gets irritated and traumatised leadind to increased keratinization and the appearance of white lining in the occlusion area.
Selecting grinding of the artificial teeth or the removal of any occlusal irregularity can resolve this problem. This is not a very serious problem but continous irritation can lead to more complications like Leukoplakia .
Hello,
Dont worry about the white line on inner side of your cheek, it is called Linea Alba, generally caused by friction between upper & lower teeth, so seen just near to occlusion line.
Take care
