Do i still need to get vaccine because she said she has to ask the internal medicine if i need for treatment. What food should i avoid and should i eat? Thank you!

Hello.welcome.No need for vaccine as it is no more relevant. If your liver is healthy you can eat any food.Only alcohol is not to be taken.good luck.

Hi well come to HCM.
If at present you are only in carrier stage as per your doctor said your liver is healthy
you do not require any food restrictions. But if you have active viral hepatitis rest
high carbohydrate, fat restriction diet low in fat, normal protein diet will help. rest is
equally important. Thanks

General & Family Physician Dr. Prahlad S. Patki's  Response
Hi,
Hepatitis B is a viral infection and sometimes turns into a chronic (long term ) infection. It mainly involves liver cells and leads to liver damage . This disease is preventable by vaccines, but once infected, vaccination is not recommended. Like in all hepatitis, you need to avoid alcohol. Alcohol aggrevates hepatitis. Enjoy your food which you like.
Your doctor has a number of options in prescribing you Drugs to treat Hepatitis B. Treatment is usually for six months to a year. Treatment will prevent you from complications of Hepatitis B .
Best luck
