Impact Injury On Shin, Had Anterior Tibialis Tendonitis. Had Massage Therapy And Acupuncture. Will Pain Subside?
I have an impact injury to my shin from martial arts. It hit on the tibialis anterior. Both front shin and calf cramped up. After massage threatment and acupunture for 4 days, both the muscles on my shin and calf is now back to normal. However, it seems like I have develop a anterior tibialis tendonitis that is keeping me up at night. This may have been due to my over stretching to loosen the muscle. Right now there is pronounce redness on the tibialis tendon ontop of ankle at the front of my foot. What is the best method to reduce the pain and increase healing time.
the pain at night goes up near the impact area, about 6 inches below the knee.
Hello Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have sustained injury to your leg involving the shin and calf muscles.
. Now you have pain just above the ankle joint and over shin and suspect it to be due to Tendinitis.
Please take broad spectrum antibiotics along with anti inflammatory medicine like Diclofenac and serropeptidase twice daily for one week. . I think it will get cured within 10 days. Dr.patil.
