In Need To Postpone Menstrual Date. Advice And Explain Medication

hi dr. i am an indian women. in my familly, we do not do pray or any religious rituals if we have periods. i have my periods date on the same day,i have a puja. can you suggest me, how many days before i have to take medicine to move the period days.and if i want to move one week ,then should i take for a week medicine.and after stop taking medicine,how long it takes to have periods?

Hi dear user, thanks for your query.
To delay the periods Norethisterone tablets (primolut tablets 5mg once a day) should be started at least 48 hours before expected period. Period usually does not come untill you stop taking the tablets. Once a female stop taking tablets; period usually comes in 2-4 days.
With this information you can plan the schedule of your medicine.
