In The Middle Of Menstrual Cycle. Can Next Periods Be Delayed If Microner Birth Control Pills Started Now?

Hello.. I am in the middle of a menstrual cycle right now (about day 14 of a 28-29 day cycle) and I just realized I will be getting my period a day or so before leaving on a weekend trip. If I start taking microner birth control in the next couple of days, will there be any chance of delaying my period? Or is it too late now? Thanks for your help.

Hi
Thanks for your query.
It is not too late to delay your period.
Generally, progesterone tablets are prescribed starting 5 days before your period, and continued till as long as you wish to avoid the period.
Once you stop these pills, then you would bleed within 5 - 7 days of stopping these tablets.
Take care.
