Increasing Number Of Itchy White Bumps On Arms That Get Red And Leave A Hypo Pigmented White Skin On Scratching After Going Out In The Sun. What Can Be Done?
i am 24 year old female, when ever i go out in sun even for half n hour, very very small white bumps(pin head size) appear on my arms, and they are increasing in number every time i step out in sun.they itch moderately and after scratching they get swelled and red then after leaving hypo-pigmented white skin behind but itching still continues. they have covered whole arms by now.
Hi bhartee.neelima,
Since your clinical description seems to be Polymorphous light eruption,do use sunscreen with SPF50+ every 3-4hrs.Also take adequate physical protection like wearing fullsleeved dress and cap before you stepout.Try to avoid goingout between11am-3pm.For the existing lesion you can apply Flutivatecream by night with T.Vozet by night to control itching and C.AntoxidHC by day for a month and report to me later.
It is probable that you are suffering from moderate degree of photo dermatitis.
I suggest you to use an effective sunscreen like Photoban lotion. You should also moisturize your skin every 2 hours. So please carry a moisturizer with you always and use it liberally. Use it at nights too before going to bed.
For the bumps to disappear, you may apply calamine lotion to the affected areas for a week now.
Do not worry; you will be fine soon.
Regards,
