Infant. Constant Dry Cough, With Little Mucus And Occasional Throwing Up. Diagnosed Extra Flaps In The Throat. Remedy?

My 5 month old nephew has had a cough for about a month now . It is very dry and sounds like whooping cough its constant through the day. He he coughs out a lit of mucus sometimes the coughs cause him to throw up as well. We went to the doctor and he said it was due to extra flaps in his throat and said there was nothing that can be done about it. Is there any way to ease the cough?

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

"Extra flaps" in the throat is a vague description of the condition. It shall be better if you ask the doctor for a diagnosis so that we can help you here.

It will be better if you consult an ENT doctor who should be able to suggest some solution for the "extra flap".

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your nephew an early recovery.
