Infant Diagnosed With Bronchiolitis, Prescribed Histal (2.5ml), Ventoflux (2.5ml), Predcort Ds (15ml). Concerned About Dosage
hi, my daughter is 5 mths and 2wks and weighs 19lbs 2oz. She was diagnosed with bronchialitis recently. The paediatrician prescribed histal (2.5ml), ventoflux (2.5ml) and predcort ds (15ml). I am espicially concerned about the predcort, i think the dosage is a bit much. do you think these medication will be effective and are the dosages correct?

Predcort (Prednisolone) is given as 1 mg /kg body weight in 2-3 divided doses.
Your baby weighs 8.5 kg nearly after conversion.
Please find out how many mgs of prednisolone is present in 5 ml soloution.
