Infant Has Bad Diet, Grabs Tongue. Baby Origil On Gum Hurts. See A Doctor?
My 18 month old son keeps grabbing at his tongue . It s like his mouth is hurting him. It s to the point now where he won t hardly eat at all. He hasn t ate right in probably 2 months but has been grabbing his tongue for probably six months. Earlier I put some baby origel on his gum and he screamed for 20 minutes grabbing his tongue really hard. I just don t know what to do. Should I take him to see his doctor?
Ulcers/ cysts etc should be ruled out.
If nothing is contributory, might be it has become his habit.
Though picky eating is quite common in this age group, sudden change in his eating habits- food refusal etc- if associated with weight loss- warrants a detailed examination.
Hope my answer helps you.
Wish your son good health.
