Infant Having Knot Type Bump In Muscle Tissue Near Knee. What Can Be Done?

My newborn has a knot type bump suggestively in the muscle tissue on the outer left side of her quadricep near the attachment at the knee. It s seems more pronounced when her leg is bent than when stretched. We will visit the pediatrician in the morning, but I m curious now as to what it may be.

greetings.
one need to have a physical examination to find out exactly what it is.
whats the color of the overlying skin.is it soft or hard.
if its soft it can be a trauma that might have occured during labour and caused hematoma...in that case it will resolve on its own.
congenital lipoma...though rare can also be a posssiblity.
apa physical examination is a must.
regards.
