Infant Often Scratches Behind His Ear, Keeps Drooling. Cause?
Dear dr. My 2.5 month old baby is recently scratching behind his ear and sumtimes started drewling , no fever, sleepin ok at nite, no signs of rash , I have tried touching his ear and putting my finger sightly into his ear to notice if he cries from pain but he doesn t seem to bother, I m wondering if he is teething so early?
Hi
As there is no fever or pain after touching the ear nothing to worry. Infants some times scrath their ears often and it is common. Dont try to keep anything in infants ears and dont allow water to go inside the ears while giving bath. Drooling is common around this age group and nothing to worry. Teething usually starts from the 6months of age.
