Infant With Dry Cough, Cold And Wheezing. Using Becotide And Salbutamol Inhalers. What Is The Further Treatment Needed?

Daughter is 11 months old, has previousely been perscribed salbutamol and becotide inhalors. GP recently advised to wean her of these as her chest has been clear on all check ups. Daughter is now presesnting with a heavy cold and a constant dry cough , i can feel a wheeze in her chest, her cough is waking her up constantly, temp is 38.5 degrees celsius, she has no more inhalors left, have already administered baby paracetemol etc what should i do shes so uncomfortable ?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Intense cough, dry in nature , wheezing ( whistling sound ) all are due to allergic bronchitis ).
Fever is there as temperature 38.5 degree i.e. infection is there.
This is a common feature in child of this age group.
In my opinion consult PHYSICIAN and get his opinion .
Montelukast + levocterizine , syrup may help.
One bronchodilator syrup is must along antibiotic.
Try to avoid pollen, humid atmosphere with fume, spray etc .
