Infant With High Fever. What Is The Dosage For Crocin Drops?

Hi just want to know if I can give crocin drops (1ml) or tylenol (3.75ml) to my 16 month old daughter as a course..She had fever (100.2) last night and also day before yesterday. My family suggests that if I give this medicine as a course like thrice a day in a gap of 5-6 hours it will be good for her.. Please suggest whats best..

Hi

Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) comes in various strength and forms varying from company to company.
It is available in drops or syrup and strength varies in each of them.

* Dosage is 15 mg/kg/dose, given every 6 hours *

Based on the weight of your kid and strength of Paracetamol in the medicine you have, you may calculate and give.

Example: if your kid weighs 10 kg, and you are giving her Crocin drops (100 mg per ml), then you should give her 1.5 ml every 6 hrs.

If fever does not subside after 2 to 3 days or if feeding is not good or if activity is poor, do not hesitate to visit your Pediatrician.

Hope my answer helps you.
Wish a speedy recovery for your kid.
