hi,

Please tell me what is the Difference between Walamycin Suspension and Bacigyl-N. My 8.5 months daughter is having loose motion (watery) and doctor prescribed her Bacigyl-N with Vizylac. Previously(5 month back) doctor prescribed Walamycin with Neutrolin . So please tell me what is the difference between in these medicine and in what condition it should be given.

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Walamycin and Bacigyl-N are both antibiotics.

Walamycin contains colistin and Bacigyl-N contains norfloxacin and metronidazole.

They belong to different groups of antibiotics.

They are given in infectious diarrheas which are caused by bacteria and some protozoal organisms.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
