Infant With Soft, Dark Bowels. Starting To Teeth And Hasn't Been Feeding Much. Reasons?

My 10 month old just had a very soft, very dark bowel movement. It almost looked black but looked dark green when you wipe it. He is teething and is breastfed morning and night and formula fed during the day. He's not been wanting to drink much the last few days. When he breast feeds at night he gets tired, pulls off early and is biting. I don't know what could have caused this. He had 3 normal bm's at day care today. He just ate pizza for dinner and immediately had a bm. Please advise. Thank you!

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Ten months old baby passing dark stools suggest chronic bleeding from upper GI tract
Better consult a pediatrician immediately and get the stool examined for occult blood.
Teething and formula feeds have nothing to do with black stools
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
