Inflammed Lower Back Affecting Sciatic Nerve, Constant Pain In Rear End And Left Leg. Due For Uterus Cauterization. Suggest
kI am having my uterus cauterized on Nov. 12th. I injured my back doing housework 2 weeks ago - just mildly (old injury). Last week, I hit a deer with my car, and I tensed up. Now my lower back is inflamed and it is affecting my sciatic nerve. My rear end and left leg are in constant pain. I'm not supposed to take ibuprofen because of my surgery in 2 weeks, but tylenol doesn't do anything for the pain. I use heat and ice too. What should I do? I have to go to work Saturday and I am limping!
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The pain in the back radiating to the leg is likely to be due to a nerve root compression. This is not related to the uterine pathology. You need to get an MRI scan done for confirmation of diagnosis. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
