Initial Stage Of Cataract. On Cineraria Maritima And Gloeye Supplement. Recommended?

dear Doctor,
I'm 54 years old lady, with initial stage of cataract formation in right eye only . I have been asked to put Cineria maritima with alcohal twice a day ( but since it burns excessively, I'm applying the one without alcohol ); and I'm also having Gloeye supplement . what else should i do to prevent the cataract from growing?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Cataract of the eye lens is a normal degenerative process.
The management of cataract is removal of the lens and replacement by synthetic intra-ocular lens.
This intra-ocular lens works as good as natural one.
However, cataract is operated after it is fully formed.
When the cataract development is in its initial stages, there are symptoms of glare.
The drugs which are prescribed to you are to decrease these symptoms.
Cataract cannot be operated in initial stage, so one has to wait for couple of months to allow the cataract to develop fully which can be operated.
There is no treatment to stop its development.
So, don't worry, wait for some time for the surgery.
the surgery is very safe and posy-operatively recovery is also very quick.
