Hi there, Three weeks ago I believe I injured my wrist while helping someone lead a huge boxed 10 x 10 chain link fence kennel in the back of someones big ol truck with a lift kit on it. It was quite a struggle getting the box up on the tailgate and into the bed of the truck. Once it was in the bed of the truck, the lady insisted that we hold the box up so that she could close the tailgate. At the time I didn t really notice anything but a few hours later my wrist was a tiny bit sore. The next morning, it was really hurting so I went and bought an ACE Velcro wrap thing to put on it. A week later I finally got into a dr and they looked at it and took xrays and told me to come back in two weeks. I was also told to continue wearing the wrap, alternate heat and ice and take Aleeve (which I had already told her was not helping) twice a day. By noon the next day it felt as if my whole arm was on fire. I then went and bought some ibuprofen and have been taking that every 4 hours to keep the pain tolerable. I saw this same dr again yesterday and she s now wanting to set up an appointment for an MRI and wants to see me back in a week. So now I m waiting for some nurse to call me back who knows when to tell me when the appointment is. In the meantime, she told me to continue taking the ibuprofen (3 x a day) and to use heat on it. I feel like a lot of time has gone by an yet we still have no clue what the injury is exactly or how to treat it. And she doesn t seem to listen to what I tell her. Im considering going somewhere else but don t know if it would help or where to go. Any suggestions?
