Injury Near The Eye Has Caused It To Become Purple And Swollen, Should I Get It Checked?

I was hit in the cheekbone w a plastic barrel like I giant recycling barrel... long story anyway there is a cut which is no longer bleeding but my eye is very swollen and purple... I have not went to the hospital this happened last night and it hurts pretty bad

Hi,
It seems that you got hematoma and induration due to hard hit.
Consult your doctor and get examined for having any injury in your eye.
Apply ice pack on the part.
Put antibiotic eye drops.
Ok and take care.
