Injury On The Head. Sore Wound, No Other Problem. What Are The Symptoms To Worry About?

My 9 ur old daughter slipped on wet concrete yesterday and hit her head on the ground. We kept her up for 2 hrs after it happened. She seemed ok today besides the spot being soar if she touched it. What are symptoms I need to watch for before knowing if I should take her to the doctor? I hear so many opinions about brain swelling its got me a little worried. Thanks"

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Head injury may present with Concussion,Contusion,Fracture or Hematoma. You should take her to doctor if she gets loss of consciousness,Continued headaches, and headaches that get worse, nausea and vomiting,Seizures or Confusion.

Common ones are altered level of consciousness, confusion, fits, headache, vomiting, visual blurring, discharge or blood from ear or nose...and so on
Any change form normal - should prompt for medical attention
On the least suspicion, go for neurologic opinion and CT scan...
