Intermittent Pain In Left Breast, No Discharge Or Lumps, Pinching Sensation. Causes?
Yesterday, I began to have intermittent pain in my left breast in the bottom left quadrant (Southwest of the nipple ). Pain is not evident if I m sitting and typing or reading, however, sometimes when I move, the pain pinch takes place. Also, this morning, it is pinching (periodically in the lower right side of this breast (radiating from behind nipple to Southeast of nipple). No discharge , dimpling or lumps are evident and no discoloration or swelling is present. Any ideas? Am 60 and post-menopausal.
Hello,
thank you for posting your question.
It`s always good, in such a case ( pain in only one breast) to go and see your General Practicioner and let him/her take a look. As you are post-menoapausal you shouldn`t really be having any pain in your breast. It might not be the breast itself that is causing the pain. You will also have to have your heart checked but this sort of pain can also radiate from your back. So , the GP will most likely exam the breast, heart and your back.
As it`s the weekend it may be necessary to go to the emergency services in your home town at the weekend.
kind regards,
JR
