Intermittent Pain In The Lower Side, Burning After Urination . Diagnosed With Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Advice?
I had CT scans and PET scans done about two years ago and all were negative. Recently, I have had intermittent pain that occurs in my right lower side. It is the same pain I complained about two years ago when I had the scans performed. I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, since they could not find anything else. I am on medication that seems to help the pain, its one that calms down the elasticity of the colon. I have also noticed a slight burning at the end of urination. I am female, 59 years old, weight 170 pounds, 5'6".
I understand your concern. I also think that intermittent pain in the lower side and burning with urination are signs of a urinary tract infection and that you should be treated for the same after diagnosis. I also believe that IBS is a chronic condition that is related to stressors and you should also be seeing a psychiatrist who can help solve these symptoms. I hope this helps.
Take care and have a lovely day!
