Irregular Period, Sudden Bleeding. How Can It Get Normal Again?

Hello Dr. very recently I have been experiencing problems with my cycle the issue is ok I think my period is over because I go 2 or 3 days after the normal cycle and boom I get embarrassed because out of nowhere I feel a wet spot and come to find out I started bleeding again can you please tell me whats wrong with me please I just want to be normal again

Thanks for the query.
Irregularity in menstrual cycles can occur due to many causes.
Spotting are cessation of menstrual flow can be seen due to causes like :
- Hormonal imbalance.
- Local causes like cervical erosion, polyps etc.
- Endometrial abnormalities.
- If there is history of intercourse, post coital abrasions can be one cause.
- Thyroid hormonal abnormalities etc.
So, if the spotting persists or repeats, consult gynecologist once and get evaluated.
By examination and ultrasound local and endometrial causes can be ruled out.
If your doctor recommends go for hormonal profile including estrogen, progesterone, LH and FSH, and thyroid profile.
Possibly with this workup the possible cause for your problem can be identified and treated.
