Irregular Periods. History Of Pcod, Cured. On Glyciphage To Control Insulin Levels. Advised Krimson 35. Will This Cause Weight Gain?
Hi, I have been pretty irregular with my periods. They happen once in two months. Also, I had pcod but as per my ultrasound report, I no longer have cysts. I have been advised to take Krimson 35, is it necessary? Also, would I put on weight as I really don't want to gain any weight since I am aiming for abs and super weight reduction. In addition to all this, I am also taking Glyciphage 500 mg to control my insulin levels. Please advice. I am 25 ad I weigh 143 lbs.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Krimson 35 is a hormonal drug . Yes you will put weight with it.The weight gain is obvious at 6 or more mths of consumption. But I think as your PCOD is gone, you will be given for a shorter period of about 3 months, for your cycle regulation. You are already on Glyciphage,So go on with your weight reduction regimen & follow your Dr's instructions. Thank you.
