Irregular Periods. Safe To Postpone Periods Using Pills?
HI; I'm Sirisha working as softwre engineer. Actually my marriage is fixed on May 30th 2013. My problem is that my periods are irregular. Some times I'll get the periods in one month and some times that gets delayed. for the past 3 cycles I'm getting the periods around 40 days gap. Ex: in the past two times first time I got periods on March 5th 2013; later on Apr 17th 2013 and I'm afraid that I may get the periods at the time of my marriage. Please let me know whether I can postpone my periods date by using pills.
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Yes, you can postpone the periods by using the pills.
After consulting the doctor you can go for any one of below options:
-Using progesterone pills starting from 5 days before your expected date of periods and continuing till the date you want.
-Using oc pills without break, which will serve the purpose of contraception also.
